Ukrainian Stuffed Peppers – Recipe for 4 Servings

Ingredients (for 4 servings)
- 700 g bell peppers (about 4 pieces)
- 500 g mixed ground meat
- 100 g rice
- 135 g onions
- 60 g carrots
- 40 g tomato paste
- 20 ml cream
- 4 g salt
- 2 g pepper
- 2 g paprika powder
- 6 g parsley
- 4 g sugar
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the rice
Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
Step 2: Make the filling
Finely chop the onions and carrots.
In a pan, brown the ground meat. Add the onions and carrots and sauté until softened. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, pepper, paprika powder, and sugar. Let everything simmer for a few minutes, then add the cooked rice. Mix well until combined.
Step 3: Prepare the peppers
Wash the bell peppers, cut off the tops, and remove the seeds. Evenly fill each pepper with the meat and rice mixture. Place the tops back on.
Step 4: Bake
Arrange the stuffed peppers in a baking dish. Pour the cream over them and sprinkle with parsley. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40–45 minutes, until the peppers are soft and fragrant.
Step 5: Serve
Serve hot and enjoy! These peppers pair beautifully with a fresh salad or some crusty bread on the side.
